Why doing this modification ?
- First, it bypass one of the idler plastic pulley (the hardest to change!).
- Second, it allows you to install a less expensive and easier to find belt.
- Third, it allows you to change at the same time, the idler pulley #6, the one that fail the most.

does this mod effect any timeing issues??
No, no timing issues since this is not a timing belt; it just powers the accessories (AC, pwr steering, water pump, etc.) One less thing to fail.
I have a Saab 1998, 900S, Turbo, Hatchback. No heat, where is the latch door to open?
